The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of Position:
Intern will work on SQL, Oracle and Reporting Services. Intern will learn ETLs and data transformation from multiple sources. Intern will also work on reporting with PowerBI and SQL Reporting. There is also a possibility of working on app development.

 

Responsibilities:
Camstar Phase 2 ETL/Reporting SQL 2012 to SQL 2019 migration App Development

 

Education and Experience:

• Enrolled in Computer Science program
• Course work completed to include: Programming, SQL, and data analyst
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Relevant experience a plus

 

Desired Skills:

• C#, VB.net, SQL, Oracle
• Reporting: Power BI, SQL Report Services

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
