The Ford Data Factory Platform covers all business processes and technical components involved in ingesting a wide range of enterprise data into the GDIA Data Factory (Data Lake) and the transformation of that data into consumable data sets in support of analytics. This role will be part of our data De-Identification team which is responsible for masking sensitive data data from across 1,000+ GCP projects. Data Factory Engineers will be responsible for designing solutions and modernization of Ford's big data solutions on GCP cloud; integrating native GCP services and 3rd party data technologies. We are looking for a Senior developer who is well versed with large scale implementation of Microservices and UI development in Java utilizing frameworks such as SpringBoot and Angular. Experience using Pub/Sub technologies such as GCP Pub/Sub, Orchestration tools such as GCP Workflows, custom databases such as GCP Firestore, and event monitoring technologies such as Eventarc are desirable. Good knowledge and hands on experience of integration with GCP Big Query, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes is desirable.
What you'll do…
- Designing solutions and modernization of Ford's big data solutions on GCP Cloud
- Integrating native GCP services and 3rd party data technologies.
You'll have..
- Ability to code front-end and backend systems utilizing technologies including but not limited to: GCP Cloud Run/Cloud Function, GCP Pub/Sub, Google Big Query, Terraform, Tekton CI/CD, GitHub, Microservices architecture, and Java frameworks such as SpringBoot and Angular.
- The ability to quickly propose GCP-based solutions by recalling the latest best practices learned from Google documentation, whitepapers, and community publications is required.
- Relationship Building: A proven track record of building deep technical relationships. Experience in aligning expectations across teams and vendors
- Problem-Solving: Must be able to trace and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
- Teamwork: Motivated and keen to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on team success over and above individual success
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software design and development.
