DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chief Clinical Officer’s responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Performs all duties and demonstrates behaviors and attitudes consistent with the Mission Statement and Core Values of the organization; embodies integrated, client-centered care and demonstrates culturally proficient leadership
- Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to supervise integrated care coordination, lead the care teams, co-lead staffing’s, and setting the standard for shift changes
- Oversees the Screening & Admissions process to ensure timely, appropriate, culturally proficient, and empathetic service access
- Continually participates in building and maintaining positive working relationships through effective communication, performance improvement and teamwork efforts
- Actively participates in safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting client safety as well as environmental safety
- Accomplishes individual and team goals and objectives established by supervisor based on prior
- performance evaluation
- Complies with HIPAA guidelines regarding client rights and confidentiality
- Complies with documentation and training set forth by Human Resources
- In collaboration with the executive team, plays a key role in the overall development, strategic
- planning, service delivery, and management of the organization.
- Provides administrative and clinical leadership to the clinical team to support and develop the provision of services, including the Trauma-Informed Model, to deliver high-value care that is financially feasible and sustainable
- Evaluates the needs for the delivery of services, recruitment, interviewing and hiring to fulfill program needs; staff assignments; completion of performance appraisals
- Deploys resources efficiently and effectively toward organizational goals, working with staff to balance workload and effort, and provide ongoing feedback so that staff can continuously improve their supervision and mentoring skills
- Collaborates with and supports the Chief Operational Excellence Officer and the VP of Talent to develop and implement the Center’s training needs vis a vis regulatory compliance and continuous quality improvement
- Collaborates closely with the Chief Prevention & Recovery Officer (CPRO) to sustain therapeutic services and connections throughout the continuum of care; collaborates closely with the CPRO on the provision of robust service options within the Center’s Residential and IOP ecosystems
- In collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer Identifies and develops business relationships with external organizations/providers/community groups to disseminate the Center’s care model; creates specified and catered curriculum for partnerships; conducts presentations, writes research papers, and positions the Center as an innovative expert in the intersection of behavioral/mental health and substance use
- Continuously brings cutting-edge, promising and EBPs to the Center, continuously improving patient outcomes and positioning the Center as a national leader in the space
- Oversees fidelity to grant funded clinical initiatives and ensure delivery of therapeutic services along with appropriate and timely reporting.
- Creates a work climate that emphasizes collective team performance and demonstrates the Center’s core competencies and values
- Represents the Center at the local, state, and national levels by attending networking and educational opportunities and promoting the positive reputation of the organization
- Oversees the development of the Center’s Care Team Model and practice standards across all disciplines consistent with the organization’s mission, and communicates the philosophy and strategies to executive, management, clinical and direct support staff
- Directs the delivery of the clinically-oriented services
- Reviews and responds to legal concerns or requests regarding clinical services
- Spearheads organizational-wide clinical initiatives to identifies opportunities for improving outcomes in clinical effectiveness, clinical practice, and standards, and enhancing quality and safety outcomes
- In partnership with the COEO and the VP of Talent, ensures internal staff compliance and awareness of the Center’s Care Team Model through the creation, implementation, and utilization of training resources
- Develops and provides leadership over the development of a competency-based clinical curricula and training for clinical staff
