User Experience Design Lead, Vice President

The Sr. UX Design Lead, leads large and impactful initiatives within Design and Customer Experience (DCE) Authentication, utilizing a facilitative leadership style with senior design, research, product, and engineering leaders.
Though without formal direct reports, the Senior UX Design Lead must be comfortable and capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams across the full range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, thought to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. They don’t need to be an expert at every step, but through their leadership and review, the teams execute at a high-level of quality.
Senior UX Design Leads are expected to be strong partners with senior Product Management and Engineering Leads, developing product and business strategies, which informs prioritization, planning, and decisions across multiple product teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in UX design, driving the creation of user-friendly and secure authentication processes across multiple platforms and devices.
- Utilize data and user research to pinpoint areas for enhancement and refinement.
- Advocate for the users’ perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work.
- Use storytelling, user journey, conceptual prototypes and other strategies to articulate complex concepts, customer problems, and potential solutions to varying senior leadership and partners across disciplines and the organization
- Create strategic design deliverables such as strategy decks, customer journeys, visions of future experiences and evangelize these cross-product “blueprints” across teams
- Design and facilitate workshops to extract hypothesis, potential solutions, generate excitement, ensure a common understanding, and foster team alignment.
- Ensure authentication processes are accessible to users with disabilities and compliant with relevant accessibility guidelines.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and effective design solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual, to articulate design concepts, present findings, and advocate for user-centered design principles
- Strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of methods and techniques to run complex design-led workshops
- Comfortable working closely with UX Researchers and Data Analysts to gather customer feedback and analytics, and use that information to drive improvements to the customer’s journey
- Insatiable curiosity about customers, technology, business, and the future of the industry
- A natural connector of people, ideas, and technology to identify and solve the right problem
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Previous experience shipping multiple successful digital products
- Comfortable with structuring and planning design work in cross-functional contexts
- Able to show how their understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed design solutions
