We are currently seeking an Intern, Engineering Project/Program Manager. This position requires a skilled professional with a passion for Electric Vehicles and Engineering. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing and defining Project Management Vision, Strategy and Roadmaps
- Experience in Project pitches, Project development, Project documentation, reporting Project status, management of technical requirements, and prioritizing the backlog based on Agile methodologies
- Ability to lead with influence, managing feature planning activities and identifying critical milestones
- Adopted data driven quantitative and qualitative methods for solving and analyzing customer problems
- Analytical, self-motivated & committed with a high level of responsibility
- Design metrics, reports and dashboards
- Independently work on process and product documentation
- Influence technical decisions in working with large, cross-functional teams
- Assist in communicating product vision, features, priorities, to our stakeholders via launch announcements, release notes, brown bags, seminars, user trainings
- Work withEngineering and Vehicle Program teams as required to evaluate and report Project status
Qualifications:
- Field(s) of study: Engineering, Computer Science, or Related Major
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master���s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
- Experience or theoretical knowledge of Engineering Project or Program Management on technical cross-functional projects
- Experience in systems engineering, data analysis, and business intelligence
- Great ability to identify and translate emerging trends and customer needs into workable product proposals
- Work with engineering groups on a day-to-day basis
- Zeal to learn new things and make a difference
- Knowledge of Confluence and project management tools
- Knowledge of Agile project execution and Agile iterative process
- Good at facilitating discussions/workshops to determine feasibility of project proposals
- Able to work as a project analyst on a scrum team
Program Information:
- Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Relocation: One round trip flight to the assigned work location from/to permanent residence.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
- Medical benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 32+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 32+ hours a week.
