THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Venue Technology, the Regional Venue Technology Manager is primarily responsible for managing technology needs of event-based venues in the West Region, including but not limited to the management of third-party vendors, venue technology projects, Point-of-Sale technology (terminals, kiosks, peripherals, etc.), Desktop support and day-to-day management support. The successful candidate will lead a team providing operational support to users and ensures availability, stability and security of business systems and IT infrastructure platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with venue-based support resources to deliver and actively support point-of-sale, payment, and other systems critical to business operations.
  • Scheduling, managing, mentoring, and optimizing the deployment of salaried and hourly venue technology staff.
  • Managing and optimizing third-party vendor relationships and associated contracts for venue technology, including point-of-sale vendors, digital menu board providers, mobile app providers, loyalty providers, etc.
  • Working with the Corporate Infrastructure team to design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure and enterprise systems, such as corporate email, security, accounting/finance systems, and collaboration tools.
  • Collaborating with the broader technology team to estimate, design, implement, and manage venue technology solutions that support the business.
  • Evaluating, recommending, and implementing third-party technology products and services to achieve organizational goals, including providing quality service for guests and maximizing profitability.
  • Increasing the productivity and effectiveness of venue technology operations through the definition of standards, best practices, and promoting the reuse of recommended enterprise technologies.
  • Establishing and maintaining IT Service Management processes and procedures that can be effectively scaled.
  • Managing IT finance processes such as budgeting, reporting, and invoice approval.
  • Understanding and participating in the development of all areas of the Information Technology architecture.
  • Managing venue technology projects, leading project teams to manage delivery schedules and ensure the realization of project benefits.
  • Defining and communicating end-user architecture strategies, principles, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzing the current application portfolio, installed technology, and infrastructure to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Acting as the business relationship manager between West Region properties and the Legends IT department.
  • Acting as an escalation point for venue technology teams and operators across West Region properties.
  • Managing client relationships and expectations for venue technology solutions across West Region properties.
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of the organization’s needs to provide guidance on strategic and technical direction.
  • Performing additional related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required.
