Instructor of Industrial and Engineering Technology

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology invites applications for a full-time Instructor position beginning August 2025. We are seeking a dynamic educator to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including but not limited to: Electrical Circuits, Electronics, Digital Electronics, Electromagnetics, Power Electronics, Industrial Electric Machinery, Power Transmission and Distribution, Control and Automation, Robotics and Automation, Mechatronics Systems, and PLC.

Additional responsibilities include advising students, mentoring senior design projects, and participating in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
M.S. in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related field, from an accredited university by hire date.
Prior teaching experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited institution by the time of hire.
Three years of Teaching Experience in Electrical and Mechatronics-related courses.
Experience with ABET and/or ATMAE accreditation processes and assessment.
Industrial Experience in the same field.

Commitment to undergraduate teaching and continuous program improvement.
Ability to supervise senior design projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and service.
