Job Description
Be a direct part of the sustainable green energy revolution! Coffman Engineers is involved in a significant amount of alternative energy and industrial projects including Green Hydrogen generation and refueling, large Wind/Solar/Battery Storage projects, biomass, Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration projects, as well as industrial projects and these teams need more help! We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum 10 years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. Ideal applicants will be well versed in all aspects of mechanical design and project management of industrial oil and gas, petrochemical, pipeline, and industrial power related facilities. The desired individual should be comfortable consulting to owners and general contractors and have a desire to work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Approximate Base Salary – 100k-200k based on experience
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
- Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
- 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical engineering or related field
- PE license in Mechanical Engineering (licensed for at least 3 years)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, piping design, and/or process design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in energy, power, refinery, Oil/Gas production, pumping and compressor systems
- Experience in process design
- Experience in H2, CO2 pipelines, industrial mechanical
- Knowledge of applicable ASCE and API codes as the relate to process piping and infrastructure
- Experience with fluid hydraulic calculations and modeling (AFT experience preferred)
- Experience with pipe stress calculations and modeling (AutoPIPE experience preferred)
- Project Management experience and/or certifications
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
- Passion for sustainability
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe InDesign software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
- General knowledge of firm’s practice, clientele, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles.
- Able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.
- Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
