Job Summary:

Provides Oracle functional track leadership managing resources and ensuring completion of deliverables and tasks for all aspects of the global Oracle ERP program (OneVision) within the Inventory and Supply Chain areas of accountability.  The IT Sr Manager Oracle provides architectural guidance to the team, partners with business and service integrator resources to define the best solution to CooperVision’s requirements, directs resources assigned to the specific functional track to complete deliverables and work activities, and participates directly, as needed, to ensure the best outcomes for the program and the company.  Defines and owns the functional global design driving to a consistent, scalable, flexible solution.

  • Research, communicate and demonstrate “best practice” opportunities for the local/regional organization, allowing key decision makers and local/regional managers the opportunity to leverage “best practice” as a strategic and competitive advantage for the organization. 
  • Play an active leadership role in the design process in refining our business process to take advantage of Oracle’s and the integrated system’s capabilities
  • Design, recommend, and evaluate proposed architecture and integration solutions in and out of the ERP within functional areas of accountability
  • Work closely with other track leads (cross-track) to formulate the best overall solutions
  • Conducts deep dive reviews within and across teams to ensure cohesion within the overall solution
  • Able to drive team to a highly efficient and cohesive working unit
  • Responsible for planning and executing a significant portion of the global ERP implementation, in partnership with our chosen ERP solution integrator and business process leaders (3-in-a-box) 
  • Has or is able to develop mastery of Oracle ERP capabilities and the capabilities of the set of systems in CooperVision’s specific production ecosystem (within functional area of accountability)
  • Ensure multiple phases of the program are scoped, defined, resourced, and delivered to support objectives of the overall ERP program
  • Constantly monitors the progress of the team and makes timely corrective actions to ensure risks and issues are being avoided
  • Prepares and communicates status to stakeholders and project/program leaders in a regular and meaningful cadence
  • Partners with IT Leadership team to develop a plan for internal IT and business teams to become self-sufficient in ERP skills and knowledge
  • Experience managing applications and projects using a structured systems methodology and IT general controls framework
  • Experience managing a diverse team of individuals located across geographies; experience working in a cross-disciplinary environment with strong opinions and personalities.
  • Participates in defining site cutover plan to ensure limited business interruption
  • Defines Functional, Systems Integration and regression testing efforts. 
  • Communicates needed changes to internal and supplier development teams.
  • Manages to the standard CooperVision global release cycle, including analysis, design, test, implementation, support and documentation.

 

Travel Requirements

International Travel to be required – expect approximately 10-15%.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Possess a thorough understanding of and expertise in the management and delivery of :

  • Global Oracle ERP implementations
  • In depth Oracle R12 knowledge in core functions related to area of accountability
  • Key concepts in medical device manufacturing
  • Transformation programs with large scale change
