Job Role: Senior Performance Modeling Engineer
Job Location: San Jose CA
Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled candidate with a strong background in Python programming and experience in developing event-driven performance models (similar to SimPy). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) design and architecture, as well as Expertise in performance and power analysis and trade-offs, as well as data visualization.
Key responsibilities:
- Proficiency in developing event-driven performance models using SimPy to analyze and optimize system performance.
- Conduct performance analysis and build visualizations to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Design and develop dashboarding tools to help express data and analysis.
- Understand power and performance trade-offs to conduct what-if analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance/power assumptions into the performance model.
- Document and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in Python programming and experience with SimPy.
- Experience with Synopsys or Cadence EDA tools and ASIC/SOC Power Analysis Tools.
- Deep understanding of SoC design and architecture is a plus.
- Expertise in performance analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
