What You'll Be Doing in the role of Lead Specialist:
The Lead Specialist, Development Operations closely assists the VP, Operations Services & Support to establish and deliver daily operational support for Community Development Team and regular strategic support for other cross-functional departments. Leads a team to develop, coordinate, and execute a comprehensive services support plan for fundraising staff that provides key support while better leveraging technology and efficiencies to enable increased revenue generation from fundraisers. Primary tools include but are not limited to: Salesforce, JIRA, Asana, PeopleSoft, and Blackbaud’s Luminate Online. Services provided include facilitation of revenue contracts with legal team and partner, tracking hard credits in Salesforce for sponsor payments, monthly donor data reconciliation, donor prospecting, donor record management and providing ongoing coaching to Community Development staff to better leverage technology, and development reporting/analysis.
What You Will Bring to the Table:
Oversee and direct the Development Operations team
Oversee annual buildout and quarterly updates of Salesforce reports and dashboards for Community Development fundraising teams
Oversee Community Development staff Salesforce onboarding
Lead initial review for Community Development Corporate Vetting
Assists VP, Operations Services & Support with daily support of additional revenue and mission departments with Salesforce reports and dashboards for budget, pipeline, actuals and constituent data
Analyze current operational efforts, provide recommendations to improve and oversee implementation
Serve as Salesforce Subject Matter Expert
Serve as a player/coach role to the team while daily working with an assigned region(s)
Interacts regularly with Community Development fundraising staff to define the scope of service needs and works to streamline and provide efficient solutions to drive revenue and reduce any barriers.
Assesses systems / processes usability and user requirements to identify and meet evolving needs.
Creates and runs reports in Salesforce to ensure fundraising staff have up-to-date and accurate information on revenue and pipeline.
Provides ongoing training and support with all technology tools to remove barriers for fundraising staff.
Provides support as needed for local market vendor setup and to ensure contract execution and payment for services is complete and accurate.
Liaison to Mission, Legal and Community Development departments to ensure accurate and efficient Corporate Vetting, and contract creation and execution.
Collaborates with Accounting department on donor commitments, monthly donor data reconciliation, budgets and forecast, accounts receivable tracking, and minimal invoicing.
Collaborates with internal business units to identify best practices and works to incorporate them into operational policies.
Maintains high sensitivity when addressing customer issues, concerns, and needs.
Periodically performs tasks or coordinates support calls during non-business hours.
Supervises the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for hiring, training and developing, terminating decisions. Creates the experiences and beliefs for team members to deliver the desired results.
This position supervises the following positions: Specialist, Development Operations.
