Senior Associate, DCE Proposal Development

The Senior Associate, DCE Proposal Development will be responsible for coordinating and developing proposal responses to renewable energy and/or energy efficiency-type project solicitations. The position may assist in support of other marketing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all phases of the proposal development process including the evaluating, planning, coordination, analysis, production, and delivery of responses. This includes technical analysis and drafting a response that captures strategic messaging that articulates an accurate depiction of company brand and qualifications, as well as clearly defining the proposed solution and its benefits to the customer.
• Update company information regularly, such as team member resumes and certifications, number of employees, project lists, and reference project experience data
• Establish proposal requirements for responding to large technical Requests for Proposals, RFPs, and Requests for Qualifications, RFQs, from a variety of customer types, such as government, large commercial and industrial, municipal power companies/electric cooperatives, and utility customers.  Create responsibility matrices for all proposal development responses to ensure team member participation and timeliness.  Facilitate the team, including sales and development personnel, to prepare a proposal response submission in compliance with company and solicitation requirements
• Ensure appropriate internal approvals are achieved before proposal submission
• Establish accreditation requirements for responding to state, local, and federal government, or other prequalification-type solicitations that upon acceptance that allow RWECE to either participate in subsequent solicitations or do work in a particular state. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) IDIQ, National Associations of Energy Companies (NAESCO) Energy Service Provider Accreditation, and the CT Department of Administrative Services Contractor Prequalification
• Utilize various resources to better develop sales leads and proposals
   

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in a business or engineering-related field is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing on topics or proposals for engineering, construction, renewable energy, or other related, technical fields
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, along with excellent organizational skills and being comfortable working under tight deadlines
• Basic understanding of financial and technical terms related to renewable energy
• Understanding of process and software for document control
• Excellent interpersonal and consensus-building skills.
   

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $77,400 - $92,900 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
