Position: Clinical Manager – Admissions for Hospice
RN Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience
Service Area: Twin Cities Metro area. Plus, mileage reimbursement of .70 cents per mile.
Schedule: Full - Time / Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (weekend and holiday rotations, no on-call)

The Clinical Manager – Admissions is primarily responsible for the day-to-day supervision and leadership of the hospice admissions and visit/float nursing teams. This leader ensures timely, efficient, and compassionate starts of care, and serves as the primary liaison between clinical admissions and marketing, intake, and other referral sources. The Clinical Manager – Admissions plays a critical role in driving conversion rates, enhancing speed to care, and ensuring an exceptional first-touch hospice experience. This role also leads recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts for the admissions team and supports organizational growth through high-performing service delivery.
Position Functions & Responsibilities
- Coordinates and oversees all clinical personnel involved in admissions and visit/float nurse functions.
- Drives speed to care, ensuring patients are admitted timely and according to regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborates closely with marketing and intake teams to enhance referral-to-admission conversion rates.
- Manages performance and schedules of admissions nurses and float nurses to maximize efficiency and clinical coverage.
- Provides mentorship, guidance, and clinical oversight to new and current team members.
- Assures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Lifespark Hospice policies and standards.
- Oversees onboarding, training, and continued development of new team members assigned to the admissions and visit nurse team.
- Maintains strong communication and alignment with other clinical leaders to ensure smooth transitions of care post-admission.
- Responsible for documentation compliance and accuracy related to start-of-care and initial assessments.
- Reviews operational and performance indicators such as referral timeliness, admission rates, and missed opportunity trends.
- Participates in and supports organizational efforts related to performance improvement, compliance audits, and quality initiatives.
- Develops and evaluates orientation programs, education, and competency for admission-related roles.
- Participates in hiring, evaluating, coaching, and retaining top-performing admissions and visit staff.
- Ensures accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate communication and documentation related to the start-of-care process.
- Manages operational readiness of supplies, tools, and equipment required for start-of-care visits.
- Supports leadership and field teams in achieving strategic growth targets by fostering referral relationships and client satisfaction.
- Assumes Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities and escalates clinical and operational concerns as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
