Your role:

 

As T&E Global Process Owner, you will play a key role in Merck Business Services Procurement Functional Solutions organization, working closely with various stakeholders such across Group Procurement, Source 2 Pay, Finance, Legal, HR, IT and other organizations.

You will be responsible for the collaborative design and communication of the global travel & expenses processes and will drive process improvements to optimize the T&E processes and systems. 

You will be in charge of defining roles and responsibilities for your respective area and will act as a major contributor in the Performance Management process by defining process performance KPIs and measurement. You will be responsible for the governance of defined processes, documentation, controls and roles.

You will be responsible for a process strategy development and execution in close cooperation with Group procurement. You will create efficient organizational structure focusing on core skills for better and faster decision-making, operations, and improvement. You will build performance transparency and steer processes based on data, reaching agreed KPIs and productivity targets. You will ensure adherence to the SOPs, policies etc. and improve quality and compliance of the delivered service. You will identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions, optimize end-to-end operation. You will create a talent hub, understand the upskilling need, develop teams to be true solution partner, develop learning journeys for SMEs, drive best practice sharing, knowledge sharing.

This role needs to manage a team sized up to 10 FTEs with Operational teams as dotted line. Main responsibilities shall include recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, offering feedback, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. 

 

Who you are:

 

• Bachelor’s degree is required, advance degree is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Travel & Expense management
• Minimum of 3 years of team management experience is required
• Solid understanding of T&E, AP, S2P processes is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of leading T&E system solutions and credit card programs
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented and a strong business sense
• Strong written and verbal communication in English, knowledge of other European language is a plus.
• Effective time management, stakeholder management, organizational skills and sense of risk management
• Experience in the GBS area is a strong plus
