As an HR Generalist, you will act as a junior HR Business Partner, collaborating with Payroll, Benefits, Learning & Development (L&D), and Recruitment to enhance HR processes, support compliance, and ensure a seamless employee experience.
What You'll Do
✔ Be a Strategic Partner: Serve as a trusted HR liaison across departments, ensuring HR services align with operational needs. ✔ Support HR Modernization: Assist in upgrading HR systems and optimizing HRIS, ATS, and data management processes. ✔ Enhance Employee Relations: Help with performance tracking, low-level employee relations issues, and HR inquiries. ✔ Assist with Talent & Workforce Planning: Work with the Recruiter to implement hiring strategies and identify top talent. ✔ Facilitate Growth & Development: Support the L&D Specialist in implementing training programs and onboarding initiatives. ✔ Ensure Compliance & Best Practices: Help enforce HR policies, employment laws, and best practices while maintaining confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
🔹 HR Knowledge & Compliance Expertise - Strong understanding of tribal, state, and federal employment laws. 🔹 Data & HR Tech Skills - Experience in HRIS & ATS systems and HR metrics reporting in collaboration with HRBP. 🔹 Employee Relations & Policy Implementation - Ability to mediate conflicts, advise on workplace issues, and support HRBP in compliance efforts. 🔹 Recruitment Assistance - Experience working with hiring managers and optimizing talent acquisition. 🔹 Organized & Tech-Savvy - Skilled in Microsoft Office, HR databases, and time management. 🔹 Passion for HR Modernization & Change - Ability to support process improvements and embrace technology-driven HR solutions. 🔹 Cultural Awareness & Sensitivity - Understanding of tribal employment practices and commitment to supporting a diverse workplace.
Minimum Qualifications
✅ Experience:
- 5+ years of direct Human Resources experience, preferably in government, tribal, or regulated environments.
- Experience with HR systems, payroll collaboration, and benefits administration.
✅ Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Required to obtain Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) Certification within one year of hire.
