About the role

Production Control Analyst

The Production Control Analyst will report to the Master Production Scheduler. This role is responsible for scheduling production based on customer orders, inventory levels, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles, and production capacity. The Analyst manages the production planning process by developing production plans on a quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily basis maintaining target inventory levels.  The Production Control Analyst will develop, maintain, and use reports daily to follow customer orders from the production plant to the warehouse.  This is a customer focused role.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

◾Analyze capacity constraints and recommend process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy

◾Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, fill rate, schedule adherence, and schedule attainment

◾Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes

◾Maintain accurate records of schedules, inventory levels, and production outputs

◾Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure the timely shipment of finished and WIP products

◾Identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks in the production process

◾Work with quality control teams to ensure production schedules align with quality standards and compliance requirements

◾Assist in developing contingency plans for unexpected disruptions in supply chain or production

◾Support cost-reduction initiatives by improving scheduling accuracy and minimizing waste

◾Provide regular reports on production performance and schedule adherence to management

Complete analysis necessary for creating production plans

◾Coordinate the execution of production orders

◾Oversee the implementation of production plans, ongoing correction of production assumptions,

◾Participate in the evaluation and improvement of production strategies   

◾Monitor stock levels.

◾Schedule weekly production for assigned production lines

◾Review and adjust production schedules weekly according to customer needs

◾Review and adjust daily high-volume key SKUs as needed to prevent stock outs

◾Review and update targets for the assigned product lines

◾Keep scheduling files current to provide relevant information on all SKUs

◾Develop, improve, and change reports as needed

◾Effectively collaborate with other departments, teams, and peers to solve problems and continuously improve

◾Responsible for unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing

◾Provide support and resolve supply chain related SAP issues

◾Update charting for Tier 2 & Tier 3, KPI metrics for assigned product lines

◾Work toward team objectives to ensure KPIs are reported and met

◾High level of knowledge and experience in the configuration of Production Planning functions including Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Classification

◾Solid understanding of the SAP and relevant master data elements (Material Master, Vendor Master, BOM, Routings, Work Centers, etc.)

◾Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and available resources.

◾Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.

◾Collaborate with supply planner to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

◾Work closely with production teams to optimize workflow and maximize efficiency.

◾Communicate schedule updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret product information, production schedules, and other process documentation in English

•Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, MRP system

•Strong math and analytical skills

•Ability to work a flexible schedule when required (daily or weekly)

•Ability to work independently or with a team

•SAP experience in Logistics, Customer Service, Scheduling, Sales & Operations, and Inventory

•3 – 5 years scheduling experience in an SAP environment

Preferred:

•Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field / or equivalent work experience
