Are you ready to influence the political landscape? Scripps is looking for a passionate Political Account Executive to promote our broadcast advertising solutions to political candidates and advocacy organizations during the upcoming election cycle. Located in Washington, DC, you will play a crucial role in connecting campaigns with targeted voters through our extensive media platforms across the nation. Utilize Scripps’ network of broadcast stations, along with CTV and Digital inventories, to craft effective strategies for engaging political and advocacy accounts with their desired audiences and campaign outcomes. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. You will be responsible for managing Scripps’ expanding multi-market political broadcast accounts and will benefit from our comprehensive enterprise portfolio and streamlined processes that enhance efficiency for both sellers and buyers, enabling them to achieve their advertising objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Sell broadcast television commercial airtime and digital/CTV space to direct accounts and advertising agencies specializing in political and advocacy advertising
• Execute FCC rules and regulations surrounding political broadcast advertising
• Negotiate advertising rates and program ratings with new and existing accounts to maximize revenue share
• Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing qualitative and quantitative research
• Perform client services including avail presentations, account management reconciliation, credit and collections, and package preparations
• Effectively manage a sales pipeline by engaging national political and advocacy accounts and agencies to promote Scripps broadcast & digital portfolio
• Build strong client relationships and deliver world-class customer service

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Established relationships with national advertisers and political agencies
• Strong understanding of television and national advertising trends
• Expert knowledge of all facets of television sales and marketing
• Understanding of CTV and digital sales
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Compelling presentation abilities
• High level of organization and ability to manage high volume accounts
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred
• Political sales expertise a plus

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - 130000

 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in District of Columbia.
