Your Purpose 

The Accounting and Tax and Accounts Payable team is responsible for managing all the financial and tax activities of different entities by building up monthly closing processes, handling P&L daily reviews, BS items and AP/AR reconciliations and regulatory capital assessment.
We manage stand-alone financial audits with national and international accounting standards, and we focus on building processes and controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly and quarterly reporting in order to comply in a timely manner with all local regulators.
On a daily basis the team is focused on working as a horizontal support to other areas across the organization by giving guidance on the accounting rules, tax efficiencies and regulatory compliance for the development of new products and features.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of experience , with knowledge in Local and International Accounting standards and is capable of building processes and controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly and quarterly reporting.

Who You Are

• Proven English fluency.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting,  financial institutions middle office or back office including 3 years in a seniority role
• Solid understanding of Fixed Income, FX and Credit products.
• Familiarity and understanding on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency products is an advantage
• Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP system
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; competency in SQL and Macros is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Your attention to detail and expertise in accounting will ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records by leveraging technology.

• Problem solving mentality: to assess, measure and analyze problems, define a relevant solution (incl. automation), review and test before implementation

What You Will Do 

• Portfolio valuation for trading and investment positions
• Reconciliation of trading and investment positions
• End-to-end Accounting: You will take charge of meticulously managing the accounting processes for our portfolios and strategies.
• Booking verification, new trades, settlements , inter company payments
• Impairment calculations
• Reviews and interprets national and international accounting standards
• Manage regulatory compliance in a timely manner.
• Assist on various projects and other duties as assigned.
• Effectively communicate analysis to management.
• Optimize and automate all reconciliations of revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and equity
• Work with the middle office team, developers and trading teams on enriching trading data and automating the data feeds into the ledger
• Financial Planning and Analysis: design and automate reporting, both internal management reporting and external reporting to partners, investors, authorities, etc.
• Direct and indirect tax computations and reporting
• Oversee fiat settlement for trading operations in Brazil, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
