Accounting Specialist

Description

Maytronics, a leading provider of innovative pool cleaning solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Specialist to join the team. The Accounting Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide accounting support to the Controller and other leaders within the Finance Department. Handles accounts receivables and accounts payable duties. Prepares daily deposits and financial reconciliations and provides other support as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

• Timely processing of customer invoices
• Apply cash receipts
• Prepare daily deposit
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
• Process and post daily cash receipts according to policies and procedures
• Research and resolve customer billing issues and payment discrepancies
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to verify proper posting and accounting of payments
• Assist with monitoring customer credit limits
• Code, verify, and process incoming vendor invoices
• Process vendor payments according to payment terms
• Reconcile vendor accounts and statements, resolving all discrepancies
• Assist with monthly financial close process
• Assist in month end reporting procedures
• Perform bank and other reconciliations
• Contact individuals with delinquent accounts
• Other support duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in clerical accounting
• An Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of accounting software
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• ERP system experience
