The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $94,490 - $118,113
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing and leading a diverse team of utility engineering and project management experts tasked with overseeing AVANGRID’s electric capital portfolio. Some specific responsibilities include oversight of the following electric capital plan activities:
Supports all aspects of AVANGRID’s Long Term Outlook of the Electric CAPEX investment portfolio including rate case preparations.
Supporting all Regulatory inquiries through ISO-NE and the NE PUC’s for project and program status updates.
Responsible for working with and supporting Investment Planning in the development of the electric capital portfolio.
Providing appropriate support for all financial analysis and estimating for planning activities.
Key Liaison between Integrated System Planning (ISP), Investment Planning (IP), and Portfolio Controls
Extensive presentation and report preparation (and or review/editing) skills are essential including the ability to concisely communicate decision making at all internal and external stakeholder levels (e.g. executives, regulator’s, and ISO’s).
Ability to develop and build collaborative and constructive relationships across internal business areas and teams and/or external stakeholders including regulators.
Building and maintaining investment pipeline by tracking project origination through project development teams.
Ensuring proper project handoff occurs between planning and executional teams.
Ensure Regulatory and Financial commitments are met through reporting, tracking, and follow-up.
Financial oversight of accounting creation for projects including WBS and Project Definitions (Primavera, Unifier, SAP, etc.)

Strategic and Technical Leadership: Provides strategic leadership of internal and external contractor teams working across multiple operating companies and geographic locations. Provides leadership and facilitates collaborative decision making.
Communicate, influence and motivate: Use of excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management to inform and influence others, providing strategic input for business plans and decision making. Serves as a witness on a broad range of regulatory and technical issues to advance business objectives (ISO’s, PUC’s, etc.).
Predict needs, direct the development of solutions: Initiate studies/activities required to identify issues and system needs, evaluate threats/opportunities, define and prioritize system-wide solutions based on risk, value and implementation complexity.
Regional Strategy & Regulatory: Represents company interests before regional and regulatory bodies. Provides strategic guidance and support on complex regulatory and technical issues. Assists executive and other senior leaders in identifying and managing risks, opportunities and business uncertainty driven from such things as changes in the industry (regulatory, process, forecasts) and projects/ growth endeavors under consideration. Provides input into the development of processes and strategies for the business unit that reflect knowledge of national, regional, and local dockets, orders and regulations. Stays abreast of changes in the industry and initiate effective responses across business areas, such as studies/assessments, evaluation of threats/opportunities/possible outcomes, and recommendation of alternatives based on risk, value and implementation complexity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 5-10 years of practical experience and working knowledge across a broad range of utility systems including Project/Program Management, Planning, Engineering, Construction, or Operations required.
Special expertise in Utility Project/Program Management strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop management teams responsible for management and oversight of large capital prog
