Description & Requirements

Infor is hiring a Development Operations Engineer, who will be a key member of the Infor Cloud Operations team, responsible for operations of Infor’s Cloud Suite solution in the Amazon AWS (Commercial and/or GovCloud region(s)). The role is responsible for the solution’s operations and continuously evolve the solution to meet contract service level agreements and operational efficiencies. The development engineer is also required to understand AWS technologies as well as have system-level understanding of complex information system topologies.
A Day In the Life Typically Looks Like:
  • Work with application development teams to ensure that their applications are designed properly for interacting with AWS.
  • Write end-to-end automation to deploy third party applications and services in AWS.
  • Design, implement, and deploy cloud infrastructure services for AWS. (VPCs, NAT, ELBs)
  • Administer resource usage and cost optimization strategies across multiple AWS accounts.
  • Design and architect new AWS region, application and VPC deployments.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A background in software development or development operations.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Linux.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience automating Linux applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing and consuming cloud services, ideally based on Amazon Web Services.
  • Ability to write automation code in a common scripting language, such as Python, including experience in AWS SDKs.
  • Working knowledge of Git, Bitbucket/Stash, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Agile development methods.
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts like network security, routing, and load balancing.
  • Understanding of operational concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, uptime, etc.
  • Experience in managing production systems on a very large scale.
  • Experience with log management and monitoring tools such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, Grafana, Kafka.
  • Experience with writing configuration management recipes (SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, or similar).
