Rotating Shift

12-hour shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR
• Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State License - Virginia
• RN-Associate's Degree OR
• RN-Bachelor's Degree OR
• RN-Diploma OR
• RN-Master's Degree OR
• RN-Doctorate Degree
• 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience 

Flexi/PRN Commitments:

• Floats as required
• Shift rotation to meet the needs of the unit
• 1 Summer/1 Winter/1 Floating holiday or as determined by the unit
• 3 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule 
• 60 minimum hours per 6 week schedule per the needs of the hiring unit
• 2 years clinical experience
• Attend 25% of monthly unit meetings or as determined by the unit

Job Description:

• The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
• The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
• Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
