Project Overview 

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come. 

 

Position Summary

This is an entry level position for Drafters and Designers in all areas of Engineering Design & will include design opportunities in todays advanced 3D CAD Modeling & information systems. This role will be based in our Bechtel Office in Reston VA, 

 

Responsibilities

• 2D drafting as required.
• 3D modeling of piping and equipment and isometric extraction in Creo/Pro-E.
• Preparation of drawings/documents for General Arrangements and piping isometrics drawings.
• Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc.

 

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Level 1 (Drafter): AA/AS degree or certification in engineering or drafting/design
• Level 2 (Designer): AA/AS degree or certification in engineering or drafting/design with 1.5 years experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
