Our internship program is 11 weeks long, beginning May 28th and ending August 9th. This internship offers a cross-functional project with your fellow interns, so you learn about LGRA’s strategy and collaborate to help solve a key business issue.

Purpose and Objective

Legal & General Retirement America (LGRA) provides essential support for the seamless onboarding and sustained operations of plan sponsors engaged in pension de-risking strategies. Our objective is to work collaboratively with the team to facilitate the establishment of new business and ensure the smooth continuation of operational processes.

As an Operations Intern at LGRA, your responsibilities will encompass a range of crucial operational processes. These tasks collectively contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, ensuring the success of our pension de-risking strategies and bolstering the overall success of LGRA.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Researching and promptly responding to inquiries from certificate holders.
  • Performing periodic assessments to validate certificate holders eligibility for ongoing payments.
  • Initiating communications for deferred or beneficiary payments.
  • Reviewing data files for used to load new certificate holders to our administrative system.
  • Providing support in generating invoices to support reinsurance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Rising Junior or Senior majoring in Business.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of pensions and annuities, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize.
  • Analytical mindset, with structured problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

The expected hiring compensation for this position is $20 per hour for all hours worked.
