Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Support supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Advanced Training Capabilities Division (AFLCMC/WNR), located at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The Advanced Training Capabilities Division focuses on arming warfighters with cutting-edge training solutions to prepare for evolving global threats.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Must have a strong working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including information system concepts, principles, and control families.
- Ability to evaluate cybersecurity vulnerabilities and advise on risks such as hacking, denial-of-service attacks, and destructive applications, while implementing protective measures for systems and applications.
- Assist in ensuring personnel have proper cybersecurity certifications for system access, maintaining compliance with DoD security standards.
- Supports the implementation of DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity requirements, risk management frameworks, and system architectures.
- Assists in architectural design, functional specifications, Authorization & Accreditation (A&A), continuous monitoring, and system assessments throughout the lifecycle from development to decommission.
- Contributes to Information Assurance Strategies (IASs), Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs), verification testing, compliance with NIST 800-53, and cybersecurity requirements outlined in DoD and Air Force policies.
- Must have knowledge of telecommunications systems, equipment, configuration, and software processes to assess vulnerabilities and recommend protective measures against threats like espionage, service disruptions, and cyber-attacks.
- Applies computer science, automated data processing, and programming principles to resolve automation problems, work with mainframe systems, and integrate database or data processing models for effective system functionality.
- Supports the design, documentation, testing, modification, and integration of hardware/software systems, while recommending state-of-the-art storage and data retrieval implementation methods.
- Assist in modifying the Acquisition IA/Cybersecurity Strategy for external systems and ensure alignment with DoD policies, standards, and system architectures.
- Evaluate security software, monitor system activities, manage access control, and report incidents including classified message breaches, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats in accordance with AFSSI 5021 & 5020.
- Support the development and review of PIT determination packages, cybersecurity plans, assessments, verification testing, and compliance frameworks for system security and accreditation.
- Assist in evaluating security procedures for handling unclassified CPI/Critical Information (CPI/CI) and classified materials, including weapon system hardware storage and disposition.
- Conduct analyses of classified information handling and produce reports with recommended actions, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Must be DoD 8570 IAM II compliant (no waivers) and apply RMF principles to enhance security within training simulations mission objectives.
- Support technical audits, cybersecurity policy updates, Authorization to Operate (ATO) lifecycle management, and mentor ISSMs on A&A processes for compliance with JSIG, ICD 503, and DoD cybersecurity regulations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Clearance: Must have an Active Top-Secret clearance
Education/Years of Experience:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective
technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD
OR, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective
technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS
labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.

IAM II compliant, personnel must hold at least one of the following approved certifications:
