Overview
The Kitchen & Corporate Dining Associate, reporting to the Chef Manager, is responsible for delivering an exceptional café experience for our team members and guests through food preparation, customer service, and daily café operations. As a visible and engaging member of the Corporate Dining team, this individual develops relationships with employees, learns their preferences, and helps create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere during breakfast, lunch, and café service throughout the day.
This role supports all aspects of the corporate café, including food preparation, service, catering support, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe environment. The Kitchen & Corporate Dining Associate plays a key role in both opening and closing operations and contributes to creating a hospitality-focused dining experience that reflects our company culture.
Part Time Hours: Monday-Wednesday 6:00am-2:30pm. Thursdays and Fridays off.
Responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Support the daily operations of the in-house café, including food preparation, cooking, service, and customer interaction.
- Work across a variety of café stations including breakfast, lunch, deli, salad bar, and à la carte offerings.
- Prepare and serve high-quality food in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines.
- Engage with team members and guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing personalized service and fostering a welcoming dining environment.
- Set up, stock, maintain, and break down food stations to ensure an exceptional dining experience throughout service.
- Prepare food to meet individual guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Properly measure ingredients and portion food to support quality, consistency, and cost control.
- Assist the Chef Manager with catering orders, event preparation, setup, service, and breakdown.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, stoves, induction burners, warmers, slicers, and knives.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary working environment that complies with the local and state Health Inspectors’ reports.
- Perform regular cleaning duties including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure food is prepared, dated, and stored properly and within safety and sanitary guidelines (i.e., temperature control).
- Assist with maintaining the café preventative maintenance and scheduled/unscheduled repairs and maintenance.
Order Processing
- Accurately take and process customer orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
