Description
Seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a growing machine shop that assemble electrical/mechanical components for control panels, operating mechanisms and completed units. Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble enclosures and sub-assemblies units according to product specifications. Has knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Day shift and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, test, checkout and inspect mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct malfunctions of mechanical assemblies by modification, performing maintenance and testing
- Perform second party verifications and visually inspect mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, and test procedures
- Assemble component parts and subassemblies using basic hand and power tools

- Inspect parts for defects and verify performance of assemblies/finished products.

Requirements
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly on high reliability products
- 1+ years of machine shop experience helpful
- Need mechanical aptitude
- Experience with using various hand and power tools
- Need to be detailed orientated and efficient.
