The Impact Program Manager role will support BrightEdge’s cancer impact investing strategy, operations and development across our investments, innovation activities, as well as in connection with new services, products, and engagement activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and/or support impact and ESG data gathering and reporting activities including working with service providers, generating reporting, managing workflows and project management and oversight.

  • Support the development and implementation of impact measurement and management frameworks and tools, including alignment with industry standards and best practices.

  • Support operational processes, workstreams and related reporting for impact activities.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners including potential investors, donors, and funders to support development opportunities, particularly those related to BrightEdge impact.

  • Analyze impact investing and development related opportunities and prepare summary and in-depth analysis and summaries for proposals, submissions, governance review, or team socialization.

  • Lead and/or supporting team and enterprise strategies and goals related to impact.

  • Support investment team and portfolio companies for purposes of impact engagement including impact/ESG reporting and investor contribution opportunities.

  • Support business development, fundraising and capital raising efforts.

  • Support impact-related governance engagement and reporting.

  • Support BrightEdge events including impact/ESG related content, programs, write-up, and articles.

  • Conduct market research, comparative/industry analysis and benchmarking.

  • Write internal and external memos and prepare, support, and deliver presentations.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the impact investing field and contribute to knowledge sharing.

  • Lead and/or support other impact initiatives, projects, and strategies, as needed.

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

  • BS/BA or equivalent required

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE

  • 4+ years of experience in impact investing (preferably in a consulting, VC/private equity, financial services, or investment management) or related role; health-related sector experience preferred. 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Experience with impact/ESG measurement and management practices and process.

  • Knowledge of key impact industry organizations and participants

  • Familiarity with investment processes including due diligence and reporting.

  • Strong research, analytical and project management skills.

  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft windows and suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook); familiar with digital systems and processes; familiar with Salesforce/CRM systems a plus; able to learn and master new digital and technology solutions and tools.

  • Attention to detail and willing to take on new opportunities and challenges while working to develop optimized work processes.
