HVAC Service Technician

This is a full-time, direct placement role at De Bella Mechanical.

De Bella Mechanical, Inc. is looking for an experienced Journeyman level HVAC Technician to add to our growing service department. Considering all applicants with 7 plus years of experience in the HVAC/Mechanical service industry. Duties will include managing your own customers and accounts. Providing service and routine/annual maintenance and repair of commercial and Industrial hvac systems. Collaborate with other technicians and train apprentice technicians. 

Our Service Technicians are in direct contact with customers therefore act not only as experts in repairing and maintaining equipment but also by acting as sales agents. We require our Service Technicians to always be responsive, polite and clean cut.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 7 to 10 years hands on Commercial/Industrial HVAC Experience
• EPA certification required
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; no DUI
• Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills
• Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
• Ability to work independently and self-schedule
• Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
• Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
• Willing to be ‘on call’ for service coverage on weekends and evenings
• Operating company vehicles
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
• Ability to use ladders and climb stairs

Experience should include, but are not limited to Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the following equipment.

• Air/water cooled chillers.
• Boilers of all makes and models.
• Air Conditioning units. DX and water cooled. Small, medium, and large tonnage.
• Air Handlers and built-up systems.
• Process chillers.
• Exhaust fans.
• Cooling towers.
• Pumps.
• Pneumatic controls
• DDC controls
• Air Compressors.
• Ice machines.
• Humidifiers.
• Dehumidifiers.
• VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi multi City)
• VFD’s
• Some construction and start-up experience.
