Part-Time Fitness Center Staff

Description

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing outstanding member service, teaching members how to use the fitness center, cleanliness of the fitness area and equipment, and supervision of fitness center rules and safety enforcement.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

• Greets all members and guests in a professional manner as they enter the fitness center.
• Promotes all aspects and benefits of the facility in a positive manner and by example.
• Circulates around the room so members and guests are aware that you are available to assist them.
• Gives tours to all prospective members as they come through the fitness center.
• Is available to ensure safety in member exercises.
• Keeps fitness center organized and clean at all times to ensure safety.
• Completes cleaning tasks as assigned for your shift.
• Keeps equipment repaired and functional, informing supervisor of maintenance needs immediately.
• Monitors supplies and informs supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Reads communication book at the beginning of each shift and responds to each message as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):

High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensure/Certification Requirement(s):

First Aid and CPR certification required upon hire or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
