Job Description

Your Impact 

  • Develop communications strategies and execute plans that engage media and influencers, resulting in great outcomes
  • Work closely with cross functional partners in product and marketing to develop strategic messaging to focus on effective storytelling, including news and events
  • Lead, develop and cultivate a world-class external communications team across corporate and technology functions
  • Responsible for communications around mergers and acquisitions, quarterly earnings and investor media
  • Provide strategic PR counsel to Palo Alto Networks leaders as appropriate
  • Lead integrated communications approach to priority events and conferences with experience and understanding of creating impact media events, interviews, and cross-team collaboration
  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop written and spoken messages
  • Collaborate with external communications colleagues outside HQ to develop globally integrated communications plans to support key moments and events
  • Manage a PR and crisis agency to deliver exceptional results that effectively position Palo Alto Networks as the leader in cybersecurity
  • Leverage earned and owned channels to ensure that Palo Alto Networks is positioned appropriately by influencers, media, employees, customers, and partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with critical media and influencers
  • Manage and oversee vendor determination and relationships and deliverables - Work with procurement and legal as needed to assess and refine
  • Responsible for delivery of data-driven analysis on program outcomes and results to senior leadership and across various stakeholder groups

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 12+ years of communications experience, with a focus on journalism and speechwriting
  • Tech experience is essential, with experience in cybersecurity a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio of writing experience
  • Proven ability to deliver results on a large scale and navigate complex structures
  • Experience with crisis communications, corporate communications and public relations a  must
  • Strong team player and creative thinker
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual who will oversee timely, first-rate execution
  • Ability to work under pressure to adhere to tight, last-minute deadlines
