The Guardant Health Oncology Platform leverages capabilities to drive commercial adoption, improve patient clinical outcomes and lower healthcare costs across all stages of the cancer care continuum. Guardant Health has launched liquid biopsy-based Guardant360®, Guardant360 CDx and GuardantOMNI® tests for advanced stage cancer patients. These tests fuel development of its LUNAR program, which aims to address the needs of early stage cancer patients with neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment selection, cancer survivors with surveillance, asymptomatic individuals eligible for cancer screening and individuals at a higher risk for developing cancer with early detection.</p><p>Job Description</p><p>About the Role:</p><p>Medical Science Liaisons serve as a key, field-based medical resource for Guardant’s external and internal stakeholders.  The MSL is responsible for expert peer to peer exchange of medical and scientific information, education and research initiatives for Guardant’s services with healthcare professionals and institutions. The MSL engages key opinion leaders via collaboration in research and abstract and publication generation. In addition, MSLs provide scientific and educational services to internal stakeholders.  This position is field based, and will involve travel to other European countries and infrequently to the USA. </p><p>The primary role of the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is to educate and support leading healthcare professionals with the most current education materials supporting the clinical value of Guardant Health’s product(s).  This will involve seeking opportunities to engage and develop healthcare professionals to be engaged in the use of, support for and inclusion of Guardant services in clinical and health economic research, clinical practice and guidelines.  The MSL will maintain a deep understanding of the standard of care in oncology in designated EU countries and understand the needs of healthcare professionals involved in cancer management.  They will contribute to building strategic partnerships with designated cancer centers and collaborative groups.  </p><p>The MSL will be effective at translating data from research projects and disseminating information through publications, presentations at national meetings and educational activities. They will play a significant role in abstract and publication creation, and in the development and creation of physician educational resources and activities.</p><p>MSLs also support commercial operations, marketing and market access with education and training.</p><p>Additionally the role will involve identifying and advancing investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs), and supporting the publication process to help demonstrate the clinical and economic value of Guardant services, to advance the evidence generation to support both guideline inclusion and insurance coverage by government and commercial payers. </p><p>Essential Functions</p><ul><li>Interacts with healthcare organisations, healthcare professionals, clinical investigators, and other health related individuals and organisations in order to provide complete, accurate, balanced and scientifically rigorous clinical and technical information.</li><li>Identifies, develops and maintains strong, collaborative working relationships with key academics and clinicians to develop understanding and adoption of our novel diagnostic services.</li><li>Ensures effective scientific and medical communication with thought leaders, academic and scientific organizations, payers, government and regulatory bodies on the benefits of adopting Guarant services<strong>.</strong></li><li>Identifies and develops leading healthcare professionals to present at scientific forums such as national and regional professional society meeting
