HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Director, Production Planning is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide production planning, supply planning, and inventory management functions for LifeNet Health’s Tissue and LifeSciences divisions. This role oversees a team of planners managing highly complex, multi-step product lifecycles in a regulated tissue banking environment. The Director ensures optimal alignment of supply and demand through effective use of SAP, integrated business planning (IBP), and a disciplined S&OP process. The position requires deep expertise in planning within complex, variable-yield environments, ideally within biologics, tissue banking, cell therapy, or medical devices. The Director partners cross-functionally across Operations, Quality, Finance, Purchasing, and Marketing to ensure customer needs are met while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and optimal inventory investment.

Your work will have purpose every single day, contributing directly to life-changing outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Strategic Production & Supply Planning: Lead enterprise production and supply planning across multiple manufacturing sites to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective availability of tissue grafts and LifeSciences products. Own the end-to-end S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance. Use SAP, SAP IBP, and advanced analytics to build robust supply plans, scenario planning, and capacity planning models across a complex, variable-yield portfolio. Ensure supply plans align with demand forecasts, regulatory requirements, operational capacity, and donor availability constraints. Build capability in demand and supply planning tools, systems, and processes—including S&OP and IBP maturity.
  • People Leadership: Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team’s level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.
  • Inventory Planning & Optimization: Develop and implement standardized inventory planning, safety stock strategies, and replenishment models across all product segments and locations. Balance customer service levels with inventory investment, shelf-life constraints, country eligibility requirements and production variability. Ensure inventory planning practices comply with GMP/GTP, AATB, and ISO standards.
  • OEM & Strategic Partner Inventory Management: Lead inventory planning and communication with strategic partners (Marketing/sales), ensuring their needs and priorities are accurately incorporated into production plans.
  • Customer / Stakeholder Service: Address customer-facing inventory availability issues, complaints, and non-conformances by driving timely root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance supply reliability and service performance. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration consistent with LifeNet Health’s mission and values.
