THE JOB
We are seeking a Staff Accountant I for the Live Nation Concerts division, a segment of the Live Nation live music business. This role will be focused on supporting the Accounts Payable team at the regional level.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Perform all processes required for AP review at month-end
- Support flash P&L preparation and show reconciliations as needed
- Assist senior accountant with duties related to month-end close
- Learn and support settlement procedures at shows as needed
- Answer inquiries from vendors concerning open A/P items
- Enter manual checks (including two-step invoice entry and payment clearing) and maintain checks log
- Provide regional assistance with AP-related needs, including immediate payments, aged outstanding checks, and research
- Assist with special projects as assigned (e.g., pushdown accounting entries from Ticketmaster, in-house box office entries)
- Set up new vendors in the system
- Daily Positive Pay preparation
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficient
- Oracle experience a plus
- Entertainment industry experience a plus
- Be a self-motivated individual who possesses a “roll up the sleeves attitude” and a “hands-on” style, as well as the aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, results- oriented environment.
