OnsiteThis position leads a large team of experienced maintenance, repair and overhaul operations professionals and leaders across multiple service centers in the Americas. In this role, the Associate Director of Interiors MRO - Americas is responsible for the overall performance of repair stations within region. Will be involved in establishing improvement targets in areas of safety, quality, financial, delivery, customer satisfaction and employee morale, and for developing and executing plans to achieve those targets. Recommends and implements processes and operating plans to ensure operational efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
This is an onsite position and can be based in either Lenexa, KS or Winston-Salem, NC. 25% travel is anticipated with brief periods of extended travel as required.
May be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for repair station operations across multiple sites.
Facilitates creation of individual development plans for experienced professionals and supports their continued growth and development.
Leverages functional experts to ensure all quality & regulatory compliance standards are met within each location.
Partners with customer service functional resources and acts as a strategic partner to understand customer needs and ensure that our customers receive a world-class standard of service.
Works closely with planning, supply chain and master scheduling resources across sites to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities, labor and material.
Oversees cost reduction and process improvement activities across sites to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Identifies opportunities for capability expansion and develops and executes plans to obtain those capabilities.
Directs materials and logistics problem resolution across sites to ensure availability of materials and a consistent operational cadence.
Works with leadership to set improvement targets in areas of safety, quality, financial, delivery, customer satisfaction and employee morale, and for developing and executing plans to achieve those targets.
Actively works to benchmark best practices within and outside of the region, and to standardize to those best practices across sites within scope.
Communicates clearly to subordinates, peers and superiors across multiple locations, countries of origin, languages and education levels.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to travel up to 25%, with brief periods of travel up to 50% as required.
Aerospace and/or repair station experience preferred.
Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence background preferred.
Prior multi-site leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of inventory practices, production processes, quality control, costs, process improvement, and other lean techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of operations.
