Service Technician Responsibilities


Perform repairs efficiently and accurately according to repair orders
Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using advanced diagnostic tools
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC
Communicate findings and recommendations with Service Advisors
Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs
Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications

QualificationsQualifications


Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
Strong understanding of service department operations
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new technologies
Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Experience level varies by position
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check


Physical Requirements


Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to push and maneuver vehicles as needed
Stand for extended periods
