About Us: 

Alta Services (dba Alta Contracting) is a full-service demolition contractor providing commercial and industrial demolition services. With over 20 years in the construction industry, Alta is well-versed in all phases of commercial interior and exterior demolition. We are looking for field laborers to join our team for a 2-year project in Newport Beach, CA.

Job Summary: As a Field Employee specializing in soft demolition, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of demolition tasks at our worksites. This hands-on position will require you to perform various soft demolition activities following established procedures.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct soft demolition tasks, including but not limited to removing fixtures, non-load-bearing walls, and interior components.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for soft demolition work.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.
• Assist in the removal and disposal of debris and waste materials generated during demolition.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of experience with standard demolition tools, hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to legally work in the US.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• This job requires constant walking, standing, and physically lifting debris; must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Must be able to commute to Newport Beach, CA
• Must be open to working days, nights & weekends if needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently.
• Must be open to working with others.
