The Raytheon team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the Sea Based X-band Radar (SBX) program and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. 

• The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. We align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers. 
• The job location for this opportunity is onsite in Woburn, Massachusetts.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site multiple times a year.
• Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

• Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada.

• Experience with Script languages (C Shell, Perl).

• Experience developing software with agile methodology in a team-based environment.

• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications we prefer:

• Exposure to radar software development and/or radar concepts
• Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems
• Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
