Job Duties: Develop analytics and technical solutions that align with the Firm's strategic focus areas including whole portfolio construction. Develop desk side applications, analytic insights, and analytic models to scale the investment process, drive sales enablement, and support product selection. Partner with technology departments to evolve tactical solutions into scalable products that can be offered commercially. Build inclusive teams across the community of internal groups and influence key partners and project sponsors to achieve greater consensus. Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and partners as well as serve as a subject matter expert with Sustainable Investing and Alternative Investing. Four (4) days in office and two (2) days remote per week.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field. One (1) year of experience as an Investment Analyst, or related role. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Investment Analyst, or related role. One (1) year of experience with: Python, R; Data Visualization utilizing Tableau and PowerBI; and Risk analytics, pricing and portfolio risk and return reports for alternative positions and products in Derivative and Private Markets. Must have any amount of experience with: Analysis of investment portfolios with scenario testing and stress testing using the factor-based risk and return models; Performance and attribution analysis on return, alpha, tracking error, and other analytics; Gathering data for investment decisions; designing and performing ETL processes using R and SQL to record data efficiently; Streamlining and reporting process with visualized performance and risk results using R, Python and Tableau; and Factor Attribution Modeling. performance reporting and providing factor attribution analysis for return and risk analysis using R.

For California only the salary range for this position is $138,200 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
