Technical Advisor - Process Engineer (Furnaces)

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Technical Advisor - Process Engineer, to help support the Technology - Furnaces team. This role is responsible for the specification and procurement services related to process equipment used in plants producing ammonia, ethylene, mineral processing, specialty chemicals, refined products and oil and gas production.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for heat and material balances and the design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, furnaces, flares, incinerators and boilers. 

  • Development of process flow diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment. 

  • Under broad direction, function as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company.

  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.

  • Perform advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.

  • 10+ years of related experience.

  • Experience and specialization with Fired Equipment.
