The Neuro Nurse Expert oversees and coordinates care of the complex Neuro patient throughout the continuum of the Comprehensive Stroke Program. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards of care, maintaining daily concurrent review, maintaining professional documentation, supporting current policies and procedures, coordinating care during transfers from outside facility, coordinating and supporting care within University and responding to code strokes throughout the hospital. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

 

Education:

Associate's Degree: Nursing- RN (Required), Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience:

Critical Care, Neurovascular patients, Stroke patients

Certifications:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - American Heart Association, Advanced Stroke Life Support - American Heart Association, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing, Registered Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing, Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing, Stroke Certified Registered Nurse - Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification
