Senior Software Engineer, Platform

ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Business Systems team is responsible for building and improving the many systems that enables Anduril to accomplish its mission. Anduril’s supply chain, accounting, sales & growth, engineering, modeling & simulation, field maintenance, manufacturing, and many more teams rely on the technology built and maintained by our team. We work across the company to ensure we have the tools and capabilities necessary for mission success.

We are seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to join our internal tools team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining core platform services that empower other developers across the organization. Your work will directly impact the productivity and efficiency of our engineering teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and implement scalable, reliable platform services such as centralized fine-grain permissions, AI infrastructure, and React component libraries
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance developer productivity
• Create and maintain APIs, SDKs, and documentation for platform services
• Optimize existing services for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Contribute to the architecture and design of our developer infrastructure

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building developer tools or platform services
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and React
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical trade-offs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building and maintaining large-scale developer infrastructure
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and infrastructure
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems
• Experience with performance optimization and scalability challenges
• Contributions to open-source projects or developer tools
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, containerization)
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript ecosystem and modern web development practices
• Experience building reusable React component libraries

US Salary Range$168,000—$252,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
