About the role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Clinic Rehab Care Tech to join our Physical Therapy team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Care Tech will work under the supervision of professional rehabilitation services staff. Duties require initiative, organizational skills, written and telephone communication skills, basic computer skills, and patient care skills. Essential tasks include assisting the rehabilitation professional with patient treatment, exercise/ADL set-ups, hydrotherapy, ambulation, patient transfers, patient transport, patient scheduling, and other cares as assigned. The Rehab Care Tech needs to work collaboratively on a team with therapists, aides and other internal or external customers. Daily flexibility in work duties is a requirement to support the department in meeting its patient care needs.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • x10 8-hour shifts in a 2 week pay period.

Required Qualifications:

  • Six months of experience in a customer service job, rehab aide job at an out-patient facility, or reception/ business office job.
  • Must be trained in CPR, clinical procedures, infection control practices, body mechanics and transfer training.
  • Must be able to work independently under the supervision of multiple Rehabilitation Professionals on recurring assignments semi-routine in nature.
  • Must be able to problem-solve using good communication and people skills.
  • Strong verbal communication, customer relations, and listening skills are essential.
  • Good telephone etiquette and handwriting skills are needed.
  • Must be able to promote and maintain good customer relations and patient confidentiality.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of patients including those with speech and hearing impairments.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer skills.
  • As appropriate, the Rehab Care Tech will demonstrate knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a VoTech program for office, reception, clerical positions.
  • Current enrollment in an allied health program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
