Location: Lockport, IL

 

Shift: 5-day work week – starting time between 12:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m

 

Compensation:  $29.07/hour OT after 40 hours

Responsibilities

• Operate a reefer van truck or non CDL box truck that transports cargo to and from specifieddestinations
• Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
• Unload cargo and delivers via a two-wheeler and/or hand pallet jack in a safe manner into storelocations.
• Scans all product labels during store deliveries and reports all orders with shorts or damages.
• Report any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to Fleet Operations Supervisor.
• Conduct a proper post-trip to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays thefollowing day.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle. Also responsible for the removal oftrash at the store caused by the delivery (shrink wrap, cardboard and pallets).
• Act as the main point of contact between the Distribution Center and the customer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Valid Class C license with clean driving record
• 6 months minimum driving experience, 1 year desired
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to read a map and/or follow written directions to navigate assigned routes efficiently andsafely
• Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional customer service mentality
• Ability to work effectively in an individual and team environment
• Effective decision-making skills and sound judgement
• Ability and willingness to work varying work schedules, as needed, to support NDCP’s operations
