Governance, Risk, and Compliance & Legal Lead

Role Summary:

The Compliance function of this position gives independent, legal and organizational advice to the management, management bodies and employees, and trains them on the internal minimum legal standards with regard to their area of responsibility – the prevention of corruption, embezzlement, and money laundering. Compliance and integrity should be systemically anchored in all relevant processes and instruments of the company. The Compliance function manages the rollout of the Compliance Management System (CMS) and the integrity program, and ensures the necessary local adaptation.

The Risk Management function acts as a business partner to management, management bodies and employees in order to minimize and manage the business related risks. This is fostered by a risk management process, an internal control system and business continuity management.

The Policy Management function coordinates the local implementation of all relevant PowerCo Group Policies and acts as an advisor to the business on how to formulate policies, organizational instructions and working aids. It ensures that the internal framework is set according to the local laws.

The Legal function requires a background in Construction Law, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS/OHS), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

In addition to the above-mentioned areas, as a Lawyer with experience in Construction Law, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS/OHS), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel, represent clients in compliance matters, and support various projects requiring expertise in these specialized areas. This role requires strong research, analytical, and drafting skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a team and communicate well with clients.
