Bill of Materials Specialist (6-month contract)

Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Bill of Materials Specialist to join our team in Batavia, OH. This is a temporary, 6-month position that is fully onsite. As a Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist, you will be responsible for creation and maintenance of manufacturing bill of materials and related data/transactions necessary to support production, engineering and purchasing.

Work You’ll Do:

• Create and maintain multiple level bill of materials

• Interpret and incorporate engineering change notices, taking necessary actions to preclude potential safety issues on shipped orders

• Maintain accuracy of BOMs with completion of engineering change notices

• Work with production, purchasing, and engineering to ensure BOM has correct structure, components, and quantities in system

• Audit BOM information for accuracy and completeness and take necessary actions to correct errors, so as not to adversely impact quality, safety, cost, delivery

• Accurately process submitted BOMs and ECOs, working closely with engineering team

• Maintain record keeping systems for all processed work

• Work closely with shared services on any processing problems

• Support our outlying branches for their BOMs

• Create and maintain gate kits and commercial assemblies

• Create DOC BOMs for orders

• Accurately transact inventory on work orders at machine closeout

• Assign serial numbers and ECO to new orders

• Develop and maintain Q tables

• Effectively conform with all established safety policies and communicate any problems

• Work environmentally aware, recycling all waste products properly

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or combination of both education and experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent data entry skills, focus on accuracy and attention to detail

• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
