Research Specialist AJob Description Summary
Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills for conducting experiments with in vivo testing on animal models. Electromechanical prototyping abilities (including computer-aided design, 3D printing, laser cutting, and PCB design) and scientific programming (MATLAB, Python) are preferred but not required.Job Description
Job Responsibilities Research Specialist A
- Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings)
- Help in the general running of the lab, including: documentation and maintaining lab organization
- Conduct inventory and help in purchasing
- Support lab members in conducting experiments
- Support in implenting protocol renewals
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Responsibilities Research Specialist B
- Responsible for all duties listed above
- Have some research experience in animal models and
- Able to support and train members on research project
- Support staff in behavioral training of animal models
- Provide technical support for several projects
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Research Specialist A- Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Research Specialist B - Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Should also have some research experience in animal models.
