Responsibilities:
- Analyze OMI, TROPOMI, and TEMPO satellite NO2 data in conjunction with data from completed field campaigns
- Develop open-access codes for BOEM’s use in their assessment of offshore air quality near oil and natural gas facilities
- Publish results from scientific analyses in peer-reviewed journals
- Assist with various logistics related to field and measurement campaigns as necessary
- Perform scientific analysis of NASA/WFF and Southern Hemisphere Additional Ozone sondes (SHADOZ) ozone profiles as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Strong background in atmospheric composition and air quality research.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise with satellite remote sensing, particularly from UV-Visible spectrometers.
- Experience with in-situ atmospheric measurements and integration with satellite datasets.
- Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or IDL.
