The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) serves approximately 37,000 students in 100+ schools. performance. The principal has primary responsibility and accountability for establishing his or her school as a high-quality, high-expectations academic center with a focus on personalized instruction, professional support for teachers, and school-wide practices that lead to measurable results.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reports to: Director, Occupational and Physical Therapy Services

Provides physical therapy services for children with disabilities who are between the ages of 3 and 22
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides evaluation, intervention, and documentation for children between the ages of 3 and 22 years who have been identified as having special needs that may be physically disabling using the integrated model of service duties in the Least Restrictive Environment (L.R.E.)
- Provides direct treatment, monitoring, and consultation to the educational team to help students acquire educationally related functional activities
- Travels to various schools within the District as assigned by the Office of Related Services
- Willing to accept extra assignments based on caseload
- Follows the departmental procedures, attends in-service and departmental meetings and completes documentation requirements for the District
- Submits documentation required by the District
- Completes any additional duties as requested by the Office of Related Services Administrator and/or the Administrator(s) of the Division of Special Education
- Follow the policies put forth by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current License to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio, issued by the OT/PT/AT Trainers Board
- Valid Certificate from Ohio Department of Education
- Knowledgeable in pediatric interventions and rehabilitation techniques
- Self-starter, independent, and dependable worker
- Able to collaborate well with a team of therapists, teachers, parents, and outside agencies
