Senior Engineer, ROQ Solutions

The Senior Engineer, ROQ Solutions is accountable for the continuous improvement and engineering of new capabilities across GSKs Veeva Development Cloud platform focussing on enabling workflows across the Veeva Development Cloud platform solutions and integrations with GSK’s data and analytics platform. You will lead and oversee 3rd Party teams working across GSK’s Veeva Vault applications, working closely with GSK’s Veeva Development Cloud centre of excellence, other product teams, Enterprise architects, and quality assurance representatives to influence the design and deliver regular releases of new functionality and integrations across the platform.

The Engineer is a “T-Shaped” role that will build depth and breadth across key engineer competencies e.g. Software Development and Configuration, Testing, DevOps and Data Science/Analytics across the Product Lifecycle.

Hands-on in Technology

As an Engineering Delivery lead you will work with many of the technologies required for integrating Veeva Vault solutions with a Data Fabric (e.g. REST API and authentication, Python/PySpark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory/ETL, ADLS 2.0, Denodo/Virtualization, Snowflake/SQL Server)

You will also work to implement automated testing and release of platform configurations and integrations enabling high quality and problem free adoption of new product releases across the Veeva Vaults used across GSK’s Research and Development Organisation.
 

Technology Management

You will map business requirements to technologies and work with technology teams, product owners and service managers to manage delivery.

You will manage technology challenges working with business and vendor leaders to address and define optimal process changes for effective operational excellence.

You will be an advocate for agile principles and scaled agile delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Track record of engineering and delivery of flexible, scalable and supportable Veeva Development Cloud (Regulatory, Clinical Operations, CDMS and Quality Vault) implementations and integrations.
• Experience in agile development and DevOps & ITIL, relevant technology platforms [e.g. Kubernetes, Equalum, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Power BI], cloud technologies & data structures (i.e. information management) and data models
• Knowledge of industry standards and technology platforms aligned to Medicines and Vaccines R&D
• Experience with security strategies and best practices, data integration mechanisms, architectural design tools, delivering and integrating COTS applications, areas of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management and Data Quality.
